in 1996
The inaugural Symphony at Salk took place in 1996 in Salk’s iconic courtyard, set within Louis Kahn’s masterwork of modern architecture. Guests enjoyed a box meal and the incredible sounds of the San Diego Symphony. Over the years, this signature event has continued to grow in scale and sophistication, transforming into a spectacular concert under the stars. Today, Symphony at Salk features an elegant champagne reception, a gourmet dinner, and a special guest artist alongside the San Diego Symphony.
