Proceeds from the Symphony at Salk are a vital source of funding for the Institute’s world-renowned foundational research in cancer, neuroscience, metabolism and other pressing biological questions. Philanthropy funds more than 50 percent of our scientists’ high-risk, high-reward research. Proceeds also support Salk’s award-winning education outreach programs provided at no cost to the youth of San Diego and their teachers.
